GOODBYE CALIFORNIA, HELLO ARIZONA

Yesterday we said goodbye to Kurt and Diane as they head back home.  We really enjoy their company.  Denis and Kurt like to talk about history and the state of the world whereas Diane and I have a lot in common and the conversation flows easily.  We'll miss you both, until we meet again.

Later in the day we picked up Chuck and Yvonne and spent a few hours at the College of the Desert flea market.  The temperature and sunshine was perfect for strolling along and checking out all the stuff for sale.  I couldn't pass up a loaf of cinnamon bread and Chuck bought a hat just like Denis. OMG, now we have Tony, Chuck and Denis all wearing that same silly hat.

Yvonne and Denis at the flea market - isn't Yvonne cute in her pink sunglasses?

People think this is their real hair - well, it does match
Chuck was telling Denis how good Yvonne's spaghetti sauce is and that got us thinking about dinner at an Italian restaurant.  I looked on Yelp and found Mario's with four stars and I saw a billboard that advertised the largest glass of wine in the desert.  We were not disappointed.  Everyone enjoyed their meal and it turned out to be a very cozy Italian decorated restaurant.  I liked that they had a lighter menu for under $10 with just the right portion size.  I ate all my Eggplant Parmesan but had leftover spaghetti for today's lunch.  Denis had leftovers too.

I gave this restaurant four stars
You can tell the guys ordered full-size meals

After dinner, we brought Chuck and Yvonne back to their park and said our goodbyes.  We had fun with them and look forward to bumping into each other again on the road.

This morning after going to church we packed up and headed out of the Palm Springs area to Arizona. It was a short drive and we were all settled in by mid-afternoon even with a pit stop at the Flying J to fill up with fuel and propane.  We enjoyed our leftover spaghetti with freshly steamed brussel sprouts, took a nice walk around the park and settled in for the night.

Only one more week until Daniel will be joining us for the Christmas holiday.  We are so looking forward to seeing him.

That's all folks!  Thanks for stopping in for a visit.
