The wind blew all night and brought the temperature down to the low 30's. What a difference in weather but it should only last a few days. I'm glad we decided to keep the warming blanket on our bed .. it kept us toasty warm. The electric fireplace keeps the chill down and we don't need to turn on the furnace during the night. We just flip on the furnace in the morning and we're very comfortable.

| Too cute |
We drove into McAllen again today to buy a Kindle for Denis. He had to cancel his online order because the storm delayed the shipment.

We had lunch at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. We've never eaten there before and the reviews on Yelp were excellent with a rating of four stars. They are known for their fresh seafood. At 12:30 the place was packed but we got a table right away. Service was excellent and the food awesome. We shared the Atlantic Salmon Yvette a char-grilled 14-ounce salmon, crawfish, mushrooms and spinach in a Monterey jack cheese sauce with dirty rice. Denis finished his share but I had enough left over for tomorrow's lunch. We were surprised when we had a choice of dessert for free because it was our first time there.

That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Trying to get caught up after no internet for almost three weeks. The weather here has been beautiful. We did have some wind today but it was still in the 70's. That would be in Yuma.
ReplyDeleteWe still in Quartzsite enjoy all the fun things here and still very warm. Dinner sounds awesome.
