I've been using a Kindle for years and love reading from it. Denis has finally decided to get a Kindle for himself. He bought the Kindle Fire and found that he couldn't see the screen in the sun plus it had stuff on it he wouldn't use, like emails and HD color screen for watching movies. So we drove to Staples in McAllen and returned it. He ordered the Kindle with the white screen and I think he'll be very happy with it.
I don't go clothes shopping very often but once in a while I get the itch and love to shop at Macy's. They have a nice selection of petite sizes and I usually have good luck finding my size at a bargain price. I've had the same two pair of jeans for years and they're so tight I can't wear them without feeling like I'm going to faint and forget going out to eat in them. I was thrilled to find that I no longer take a size 6. Matter of fact, I tried on a size 8 and a size10 - the 8 was little tight and the 10 was a little loose. I went with the size 10 because I know those babies will shrink. I bought a black and a denim pair - original price $24.50 for $19.99. Found a zip up black with red trim dressy sweatshirt - original price $25.00 for the bargain price of $6.24. My big splurge was a beautiful dragonfly custom print with beading 3/4 sleeve blouse - originally $46 for $34. I think I did good but most importantly, I'm happy with my purchases and the itch is relieved.
Yesterday we were taking our second walk around the park and this guy in a white truck was staring at us. It took me a few seconds to recognize our friends Dave and Sandy Fall. They're staying at a park close by and were at our park visiting friends. We haven't seen them in a long time and we made arrangements to get together with them next week.
We also bumped into another couple that we haven't seen in years, Vern and Beth Pich. We visited with them last night over a cup of coffee and caught up on what they've been up to.
One of the things we love about this lifestyle is the friends we meet along the way.
