We spent our 24th wedding anniversary driving from Arizona to New Mexico. However, we did make a stop at the Chiricahua National Monument and climbed 9,763 feet up a sky island - an isolated mountain range rising above the surrounding grassland sea. We visiting this area in 2010 with our Canadian friends and love the expansive view of the pinnacles - the Chiricahua Apaches called them "standing up rocks".

We drove into the night, which isn't my favorite thing to do, and arrived in El Paso around 8PM. We pulled into the parking lot at the chiropractor we were seeing the next morning and spent the night.

Most of today was spent in physical therapy, either waiting or driving to get from one place to the other. We were thinking of finding a campground for a couple of nights but they're pricey so we may stay in the parking lot again tonight.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Happy Anniversary! Hoping you're planning to have a belated celebration.
