In preparation for getting into the Christmas spirit, we decided to brave the traffic and crowds to attend the Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade. Their first parade began in 1992 along Palm Canyon Road and has been held every year since on the first Saturday of December. This event in the Coachella Valley brings in an estimated 100,000 people annually. We saw marching bands, colorful floats, Macy's-style balloons, the Budweiser Clydesdale's and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus.
We were very comfortable in our chairs, shared a sundae, drank hot chocolate and enjoyed the parade under a full moon and very comfortable temperatures. It was fun.

Other than attending the parade, we've been laying low and catching up on relaxation after our big Thanksgiving celebration with friends and family.
