Being one week passed her due date, Karen was told they would induce labor if she didn't come naturally before Thursday, June 4th. We drove from Massachusetts to Quebec on Thursday morning and by then the doctor booked an appointment for Saturday morning.
It was a long day that Saturday for my son, Daniel, and Karen. Arriving at the hospital at 7:00 a.m. She started labor around 11:00 and for three hours she tolerated the pain before asking for an epidural. I was over joyed when Karen allowed me in the labor room. What a blessing. I've never experienced the joy of pregnancy and this was a big deal for me.
I was so happy when I saw the head crown that tears started leaking out of my eyes. Baby Kiev was born on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 3:43 p.m. a healthy 7.16 pounds. Beautiful, healthy, strong and perfect. Mommy is doing great.
I can't believe she'll be a week old tomorrow.
