PILOT KNOB. WINTERHAVEN, CALIFORNIA

For us Catholics, today was a Holy Day of Obligation and we went to mass at the same church in Yuma that we renewed our vows at last year.  We were a little surprised that it was a Spanish mass and very happy that we brought our missals so we could follow along in English.  I must say that their music and singing is much livelier than our English mass.

Denis had to go back to Harbor Freight and Best Buy to make some returns after church but then the day was ours to enjoy.  The sun was warm but that north wind can make it chilly.  The warmest time of the day seems to be between 2:00 and 4:00.  We're trying to get back into the habit of walking 10,000 steps a day and walked a few times around the park.

I was thinking about just sitting in the sun and reading but those storage bays were bugging me.  We ended up re-organizing them and are very happy with our results.  Now everything is organized and where it needs to be.  We even have a little space available to store paper products.

George and Suzie invited us over for happy hour and we met their friends, Barb and John.  Barb is 70 and has the energy of someone much younger.  Her and John had some very interesting stories to tell and we enjoyed getting to know them.

Got back and grilled up some salmon, steamed fresh broccoli and baked a couple of potatoes for a nice warm dinner.
