Last night the weather predictions were ominous for this area. Tornado warnings always scare me but fortunately it was downgraded to severe thunderstorms. We did get heavy rain, pea-sized hail and wind gusts around 30 mph but no damage and it all cleared up to a beautiful sunny morning.
This is our first visit to the TT Bay Landing in Bridgeport, Texas. We were surprised how large this preserve is. It's 3-miles from the security gate to the camping area, talk about secluded. Many people reviewed this park negatively but I find it very nice and very quiet. So what if the 3-mile road coming in has some potholes, they can be easily avoided. The sites are grassy, spacious and many have views of the water. The adult center and clubhouse are spotless and very inviting. They have limited sites with sewer but lots of sites with electric and water which is very typical of areas near water.
We have a lovely 50-amp full hookup site with cement patio and picnic table. I wish we could stay longer than two nights. We don't usually take our bikes off the roof if we're only staying a few nights but I talked Denis into it because the park was perfect for getting in almost 9-miles of biking this afternoon.

I would definitely come back and spend more time here. Thanks for stopping in to say hi.
Looks like a wonderful place to stay, more time there would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteNo tornadoes is a good thing too, take care.
