SO MUCH TO DO IN SO LITTLE TIME

Our visit to Aunt Donna's went by quickly and it was nice to spend time with them and see family and friends.  I was very bad about taking photos and must do better when we go back again this summer.

We were able to get some work done around the house while we were there.  We had our friend Tommy from Tri-County Plumbing replace the front and rear outdoor faucets and install a shutoff, Dale and I scraped the deck and Denis re-stained it, the skunk traps were set out, Denis painted the bathroom vanity white and replaced the picnic table bench.

We had stored stuff in Jacksonville which Aunt Donna was able to use.  Matter of fact, the night before we brought our coach in for service we slept in her guest bedroom on the mattress we brought in.  The Amish recliners fit beautifully in her living room and basement.  Denis installed the flat screen TV in the basement and it will come in handy.  Even the electric fireplace will be put to good use. We were happy that the effort it took to move, store and transport all that stuff was worth it.

I put a post on Facebook inviting anyone in the area to stop in and see us because it's difficult for us to drive around trying to see everyone.  My brother, Ken, stopped in before his fishing trip to Lake George, good friends of my parents, Bruce and Ann stopped in for a nice visit.  My cousin Lou and Aunt Helen surprised us with a visit and my cousin Kathleen stopped by but we missed each other.  I got to see cousin Dawn and her daughter Nichol with her growing family.

On Sunday, I met my long-time friend Ellen at St. Thomas Church for mass which is a historical moment for us.  We had lunch together in the coach, caught up on each other's lives and laughed a lot.

Wednesday morning we pulled out of Aunt Donna's driveway for a full day's drive to Quebec.  We made good time and pulled into our son's, Daniel's, driveway before 5PM.  I was excited to see Daniel and Karen but really excited to see my grand daughter.  She's full of energy and just learning to walk.  Just precious.  She was exposed to Chicken Pox at the day care and we've all got our fingers crossed that she doesn't get it.  The plans for her baptism and first birthday party will be spoiled it she breaks out in spots.

She lifts her feet in the air
so we can tickle them
This cat is very attached to Daniel
Just one of their six cats - too
many cats for me
Yesterday, while Kiev was a day care we spent a couple of hours hiking the Trans Canadian trail that runs behind Daniel's house.  Perfect day for a hike and great exercise.  Got 5-miles in.

Someone's been working on the trails
This is a new bridge since the last time
we were here

Such a pretty place

Some some signs of spring

Just starting to get
green here
Karen's mom pulled in yesterday with their coach and now Daniel has a coach on either side of his house.  So funny.  Thankfully, Denis has the foresight to put in hookups for two.

Thanks for stopping in to say hi.  Until later.
