| My dad on the left and Denis' dad on the right |
Spending these beautiful spring days in my dad's driveway. Which gives us the opportunity to visit Denis' mom in rehab (she has some good and bad days) and to drive dad to his doctor's appointments. Had a wonderful dinner with my brother, Ken, last night. It was great to catch up on the family news. Ken had some interesting stories to tell about the research he's been doing on our ancestry. But today was the icing on the cake. I drove dad to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a driving competency test. I wish I brought a video camera because it would be a winner on America's Funniest Videos. It all began with him backing between two orange cones which he promptly ran over, not once, not twice, but three times. Needless to say he failed but, and I can't believe this, they'll let him re-take the test in six weeks. You're going to love this, the driver's manual he was studying from was dated in the 1950's (the driving instructor dropped his jaw in disbelief).
