Drove less than 125 miles from Grande Prairie with a stop at Dawson Creek and an overnight at Fort St. John. It was a nice drive but there are a lot of tractor trailer trucks on the road and we need to stay alert.
Of course, we had to stop at Dawson Creek and take our picture at the historical milepost 0 and we toured some of their murals along the historical walking tour. Then we drove the rest of the way to Fort St. John which is referred to as the "Energetic City" due to its natural energy resources of oil and gas.
This officially is the start of our Alaska adventure
We're back to French/English signs, funny money and something called kilometers
Love the murals
This mural almost looks like the real thing
My shirt matches this mural
The famous mile marker and Alaska Highway House in the background
He points the way
Behind us is the gallery, visitor's center - see our Commander?
All aboard the NAR
Til tomorrow.
