MOVING ON

When we were getting ready to leave Valley Vista this morning our friends Tony & Mieke came over to tell us that their coach battery was dead and they had to call Good Sam's for a jump.  Come to find out, Tony left his key in the ignition on auxiliary and it drained the battery.  Lesson learned, huh Tony?  They're moving to St. David for a week, but we'll meet up again in Yuma.

Before leaving Benson, we filled our tank at $2.90 a gallon and topped off the propane at $2.65 a gallon.  Probably overpaid for both, but it was a convenient in and out stop.  We drove from Valley Vista RV Resort in Benson, Arizona about 280 miles to Pilot Knob RV Resort in Winterhaven, California today.  Smooth driving with just one stop for lunch.  Hoping for warmer temps.

While we were filling up our propane, we had a surprise from Gene and Maria Wakefield.  What a shame, they were in Benson and we didn't know it.  Would have been nice to visit with them but looks like we'll be catching up with them in Quartzsite or Yuma.   They're waiting for their new rig to be delivered.  We know how excited they must be.

Got a nice pull-through site here at Pilot Knob.  We set up with plenty of time to have a glass of wine and make a rice and bean dinner.

Love having my Christmas lights up and almost wished I could keep them up throughout the year.

Thanks for stopping in.

    1. Guess we slipped in without you seeing us. We're in E236. What time do you take your walk in the morning?
